Lesson Plan

6.

Through the package Al Bunny's typing class student learning outcomes will include, improved typing skills, competency in using computers, knowledge and position of the qwerty keyboard and confidence in touch typing.

7.

Apart from the abillity to type and use a conventional typewriter, off computer activities are very limited with this particular package.

8.

As the use of a keyboard is an essential part of using a computer effectively basically everything that is done on a computer can use the skills aquired from Al Bunny's typing class, from word processing to playing Letter Invaders.

9.

The computer will occupy a position in the classroom that is accessable but at the same time is away from the main learning area in order to prevent distractions both to the user and the rest of the class. A timetable would be mounted on the wall near the computer, with each class members name and alloted time for the use of the computer written on it.

By tracking the students progress from level to level, I, as the teacher would gain an accurate understanding of their typing progress. By writing stories, journals, book reviews and so on, and then publishing them as a document on the Word Processor would improve their skills and allow me to evaluate the students work.
