Lesson plan(s)
Area of nationally developed curriculum, with strand and student learning outcome(s) The areas of nationally developed curriculum are Maths and Art .
Off-computer activities related to the topic. Off-computer activitied that the children can take part in are in relarion to geometry and art .

The children , in geometry can learn about shapes , including angles etc.

In relation to art the children cna draw people etc , using shapes and experimenting with different shades . They can also explore proportion and size.

Computer-based activities related to the topic A computer -based activity in relation to geometry is where the children are given a list of shapes with designated colours . The children are to , using the shape and colour functions , create these shapes . they are to publish their work and display it .

Another computer based activity in relation to art , is for the children to draw a person or animal using the shapes , colours , patterns etc provided on the Adoke Superpaint .

Classroom management and evaluation strategies The children will work on the computer individually . A time table will be drawn up to allocate a time for each child to work on the computer . The computer work will take place through-out the week during a specified time when the children are involved in individual work.

I , as the teacher , would be available for the child on the computer for assistance .

I think these activities would go quite well as they are enjoyable for children , but at the same time , they provide a challenge in the operaration of computers . I think the fact that they will publish the work will create a sense of pride in their work , as a proffessional result can be achieved .
